This week in design technology we met ‘the Doodlers’. The Doodlers are fun robots powered by an electrical circuit and a motor. The children carried out an investigation in groups to determine the factors that affect the form and function of the Doodler. We changed parts such as the drawing tools, the quantities of the tools used, different counterweights and the positions of the battery and motor. The children had a great time investigating and were able to dissemble and reassemble the Doodlers. The children recorded their findings ready for creating their own Doodler.
