This half term in Year 4, our DT topic is Structures: Pavilions. In our first lesson we have been exploring different frame structures to test which are the most stable, using toothpicks and sweets. We made basic geometric structures and then created larger structures considering strength and stability. We also discussed how we could ‘reinforce’ our structures to make them as strong as possible.
