This half-term, Year 5 have been learning how to blanket-stitch in Design and Technology. We then used this skill to create a cushion of our own design. Although it was tricky, the children persevered and produced some fabulous pieces. Well done!

We have had lots of fun designing and painting our African masks. Once they were dry we then practised an African dance, once we practised it a few times we then did the dance with our masks and we did amazing!
This afternoon we have made our own Greek vase using terracotta clay! We looked at examples of vases and used them to help us create our own ideas. Once we got the shape of the vase the way we wanted, we used special clay tools to add detail to them. Read more…
