In science today, Year 3 planned and carried out experiments to test the permeability of various types of rock.

This half-term in R.E, we have been looking at the topic of Harvest. We learnt all about how and why Christians celebrate Harvest and then looked how it is celebrated in other faiths. We looked in paticular at the Jewish festival of Sukkot and built our own Sukkahs.
We have been working really hard on addition and subtraction of 1-digit from and to 3-digit numbers. Today we used Base 10 to help support our understanding of exchange and re-grouping. Tomorrow we will be using this knowledge to help us understand column method addition and subtraction.
In our science lessons we are looking at seed dispersal. We took a trip to Queen’s Park to see what seeds we could find. We had lots of fun doing so!
This week we dissected the organic remains of Stone Age people to find out more about their diets.

We have had a fab day today in our school trip to Knowsley safari park. We saw lots of amazing animals and had the chance to stroke a giant African snail and a snake. The children were all really brave as well and went into the bat cave. Read more
