Suffixes and Sentence types

This week Year 2 revised their knowledge of sentence types and suffixes through outdoor active lessons.

We played Formula 1 Suffixes, speeding through an obstacle course to retrieve a route word to take back to our groups, before deciding which suffixes it connect with and working together to spell the new word correctly.

We also played calypso corners, in which, a sentence was read aloud to us and we danced along with the music. When the music stopped we ran to the corner with the sentence type we thought had been read out.

Motty, our ‘Teach Active’ mascot, joined in our games too!
