This morning, year 4 had a visit from our school nurse. Michelle told us all about the importance oral hygiene, we learnt what teeth are and how to look after them, what we use our teeth for, how many teeth we have and which are deciduous and permanent and the functions of our teeth. We now know about tooth anatomy and names of different types and teeth and what jobs they do.
Cleaning your teeth properly is very important, we must brush our teeth in the morning and at bedtime for 2 minutes using a pea size blob of fluoride toothpaste, Change our toothbrushes every 3 months and be very thorough when brushing our teeth, making sure they are all brushed.
Visits to the dentist for regular check ups are very important as the dentist will see if we are brushing our teeth properly and help us if we have any issues with our teeth.
