Today, the whole school celebrated VE Day. We took part in an assembly, in which we learnt all about what VE Day is, what it was like during the war, and the reasons why we celebrate it and think about those who lost their lives.
We also designed and made our own war medals, paper party hats and learnt a war song in Makaton.
Our favourite part was trying a recipe made from rations during the war- Smash chocolate truffles! Surprisingly, most of us enjoyed them.
