In Art this half-term, Year 1 are looking at different forms of art including various types of crafts.
Today, the children were very lucky to have a special visit from Alice’s mum, who is an artist(Kpink). She designs and creates beautiful bespoke bags and many other items. She spoke to the children about her art, showed videos of the process of creating some of her bags and answered lots of questions from the children about her career. She also, very kindly, brought each child their own pencil case, on which she had printed their class name. The children were able to decorate these themselves, taking inspiration from the designs, colours and patterns of Alice’s mum’s creations.
Thank you so much to Alice’s mum. The children absolutely loved the workshop.
