This week, Year 2 learnt about First Aid as part of our SCARF Learning For Life lessons.

We first discussed what first aid is and why it is important. We then labelled a body outline with injuries that a First Aider may help with.

We then looked specifically at Asthma attacks and bleeding and what we should do to give First Aid in these situations. Once, we had learnt the skills, we then took turns to act out the role of the patient and the First Aider, following the steps we had been taught. We also had a reminder about how we ring emergency services and the information we may be asked to provide.
