This week Year 5 have been learning about the famous impressionist artist, Claude Monet. We have spent time learning facts about his life and his importance in the art world. We discovered that Monet is considered to be one of the founders of the impressionist art movement and one of the most influential painters of the 19th and early 20th centuries. The children created amazing artist research pages in the style of Monet and recreated their own versions of Monet’s famous painting, Bridge over a Pond of Water Lilies. Well done Year 5!
