This week has been the big science share. Reception were challenged to build strong bridges for the Billy Goat’s Gruff goats. We have been reading and learning about the story Jack and the beanstalk. During forest school this week we have planted our very own beans. We are hoping the magic works and they all grow high up into the sky.
This afternoon the children have been thinking about the houses in the three little pigs story. We talked about the different materials they were made out of and whether those materials were a good choice to build with. Today we had our first session of wiggle worship. Jo came in and delivered the session and the ethos team supported the children. We had so much fun singing the wiggle worship song and praising God with the scarves. We listened to and joined in with the Easter story and Read more…
This afternoon we have had the most amazing time joining in with the African drumming Workshop. We learnt all about Djembe drums. We learnt that they come from Mali and are traditionally made from wood. We had a go at playing different rhythms on the drums and played along to Read more…
We had so much fun during world book day this year and took part in lots of lovely activities. We made book marks, read lots of stories and even wrote a recipe for a hero/heroine. A big well done to our world book day winners!
This morning we have had lots of fun celebrating number day! We have sung number songs and we have played number games in the hall during our PE time. We played ‘corners’ and then we played ‘find your number partner’.
Thank you to all of the parents and adults who attended the stay and play session in Reception. The children really enjoyed showing you around their environment! We had lots of fun taking part in people who help us activities.
