Rounding

During maths lessons this week with have been looking at rounding to the nearest 100 and 1000. We struggled slightly with rounding to the nearest 100 so during Fridays lesson we played lots of games to make sure we were secure before moving on to the next lesson.

Roman Workshop

Yesterday, Year 4 took part in an exciting and educational workshop all about the Romans, delivered by Touchstones. We discovered fascinating facts about Roman life, explored real Roman artefacts, tried on authentic-style Roman armour, and even created our own Vexillas (Roman flags).

The children have made a fantastic start to Year 4! I’ve been incredibly impressed by their excellent behaviour and lovely manners. They’ve taken part in a variety of team-building activities and have already shown just how well they can work together. What a brilliant beginning to the year!
