Year 1 – Science

We loved Science today. We conducted an experiment to see which solution would be better to blow bubbles with. We then tested something else… the taste of rocket lollies. We found that we loved them and they went down a Read more

Recycling Truck Art work

This morning was very exciting as we had a visit from a Rochdale Council Recycling truck. This truck was special because Nomin’s artwork won a borough-wide art competition and her work has been printed onto the truck. We were all very proud of Nomin and her work looks fantastic and also will spread an important message across Rochdale over the coming years.

The end pieces of art were amazing, well done year 3!

What’s in the news?

This morning in our collective worship we have been discussing the effects of plastic use on our environment. God created the world and gave it as a gift to us and we must make sure we look after it. The children have been discussing how important it is to reuse and recycle plastic so Read more

We talked about how the different animals might move and we moved this way to the music.

DT – playgrounds

Year 6 have been challenged to design, make and evaluate their own playgrounds in DT. The children have spent the past two days producing their own designs in groups focusing on the design criteria. The playground had to be: fun, safe, something to hide, something to climb up and something that moves. We have swings, seesaws, climbing walls, trampolines, slides, hidden tree top houses and even zip wires. Here are some of the structures we Read more
