Year 4 took advantage of the beautiful sunshine today but practicing dividing by 10 and 100 outside. They really enjoyed moving the numbers and counters to the correct columns.

In our topic this half term we are going to be learning about the United Kingdom. Today we have been talking about Heywood where we live and what is good about it. We went on Google maps and had a tour around Heywood where we visited lots of different things it has to offer. We then had to work in groups to draw our own maps of Heywood.
Year 4 sang beautifully in church in the Easter concert. Thank you to all the parents that came to support us.
Everybody in Key Stage 1 had lots of fun this morning taking part in our annual Easter Egg Hunt. Well done to the winners from each class who collected the most eggs.
This term we have been looking at the ‘Titanic’. We went into the immersive room and filled out the ‘fantastics’ we then wrote a story about what we saw in the immersive room. We also looked at artifacts from the Titanic and asked questions about them. Some of us created out own Titanics at home!
We have been looking at finding fractions of amounts! We worked very hard to complete a fractions Tarsia puzzle!
We have been investigating how to make a ball roll further. Yesterday we made predictions by making one change to our experiment. We all started with 4 books for our ramp to rest on. Then instead of 4 books we could change it to 8, put the ramp on the end of a chair or resting the ramp on a box. We found that the ramp resting on the chair made the ball go further Read more
Well done to all the children for their fantastic egg designs! It was very hard to choose but well done to Edie who was our class winner with her family tree! Today we took part in a Easter egg hunt and had lots of fun. Well done Nickore for collecting an impressive 87 eggs and Harrison for collecting 79 making them our class winners.
We have had some fantastic entries for the Easter Egg competition in Willows class. Everyone has worked really hard to create some really imaginative ideas. Miss Jones has had a very hard job choosing the winner. Have a look at our creations!
