Year 6 were very lucky today to have a visit today from a Humanist, Kevin. Focusing on our topic in RE at the moment is, ‘What matters most to Christians and Humanists?’
Kevin explained what a Humanist is and what they believe in. Humanists are people who want to take care of Humans and our natural world and make it a better place without believing in God. We asked questions such as Do you believe the Earth is flat? Do you believe in ghosts? Do humanists believe in miracles? What is the difference between a Christian wedding and a Humanist wedding? The class were absolutely fantastic in asking questions regarding beliefs and the evidence to support Humanists’ beliefs.
