Today, we celebrated inside out day but discussing and exploring ways to improve out mental health.

In class we watched a video all about mental health, we discussed ways in which we can keep our mind healthy and activities that we can do to support positive mental health. We also looked at time when our mental health is not so positive and how we can get the help to improve it. Year 6 were very honest and brave talking about things that upset them, worry them and affect their mental health. We discussed ways in which we can reduce or worries such as homework or tests and also we looked at trusted adults in our lives and the one we can speak to to if we are struggling.

We then finished our activities off with a game. We each had to move round the room and write something their class mate was good at or a characteristic they have that we like the most. The children said that they felt positive and confident after reading some of the nice things that were written about them.

Well done year 6.
