This week we have been learning about Minibeasts and have learnt lots about them. We worked at five different stations, the caterpillar station, the painting minibeasts station, the bug hotel station, the bug hunt station and the sorting station. In the caterpillar station we observed our caterpillar and drew our observations on a piece of paper. We talked lots about what they looked like and compared our caterpillars with other types.
Outside we painted our very own minibeasts using the different colours on large cardboard boxes. We have lots of fun painting and we loved our final paintings.
We created our very own bug hotel outside for some minibeasts to go into. We used the outdoor resources to create our own using leaves, pots, stones, grass and lots of other outdoor resources.
We are going to keep an eye out to see if we can spot any minibeasts over the weekend!
