This morning Pine have been applying their knowledge from our previous unit on fractions to help them multiply non unit fractions by an integer. We worked using unit fraction cards to see what was happening when we had multiple non unit fractions. The children were able to calculate answers, then using their knowledge of equivalent fractions and improper and mixed number fractions, they were able to offer alternative answers.
