Today, our School Council went on our first visit to Springbank care home. As this was our first visit, the school council children took some games and colourings to get to know the residents. As you can see from the pictures, both the children and the residents absolutely loved their visit. The staff from Springbank commented on how well behaved and well mannered the children are and the residents cannot wait for their next visit from other children in school.

Seeing the children interact with the residents was absolutely beautiful to watch. Some of our highlights:

Alfie saying he’d got 3 new best friends, Mimi continually complimenting a resident’s colouring when the resident was upset she couldn’t colour well due to struggling with her hands, Daniel dancing with the residents, a resident shouting as the children left “I really enjoyed that”, Jackson “letting a lady win” to make her feel better and the children returning to school telling everyone how amazing their experience was.

Amazing! We can’t wait to take another group of children.
