This afternoon, Year 5 had a very thought provoking RE lesson in Kaden’s garden. First the children were asked to find something that is beautiful. We had a range of beautiful things collected: flowers, leaves, rocks, shells, fruit, vegetables, spiders and baby snails. The children then presented what they found, stated why the were beautiful and discussed different beliefs about the creation story. Most children believed that these things were too amazing to be created by accident and must have been designed by God. Some children believed they were created by two asteroids colliding. It was an interesting discussion! Back in class, we listened to the views of a Christian scientist, who believes in a combination of science and faith.
