Today the children have been using charcoal and other prehistoric media to create their own animal drawings which our ancestors may have drawn. We had to try drawing in the dark as we know that caves didn’t have much light. We enjoyed getting alittle messy!

During art lessons, we used tone to create a 3D apple. We looked at areas of light and dark on the apple and experimented shading with different tones.
This half term year 4 has studied the artist Beatriz Milhaes. Beatriz is inspired by music and dance and creates colourful prints. .
Year 6 have used their interpretation skills during their art lesson to create a piece of abstract art. Inspired by the artist, Fiona Rae, they used a blend of shapes and colours, creating images from chalk to represent seasons and how they feel.
