Year 6 explored the language used within the Dreadful Menace poem, looking at clarifying the meaning of the language used as well as looking for synonyms to create a bank of vocabulary to use within our writing.
The Ethos team were invited to design decorations for a tree to be displayed in St Luke’s Church. Today, our Ethos Council went to visit Springbank care home. The children made Easter cards with the residents and gave out Easter cakes. We had a great time and really enjoyed spending time with the residents and can’t wait for our next visit!
The ethos team have been busy preparing for their collective worship this week. Today, our Ethos Council went to visit Springbank care home along with the Ethos council from Holy Family. The Ethos council children made Christingles with the residents and explained what each part means. They also helped to colour in pictures of Christingles and then wrote prayers for the residents. Today St Luke’s CE Primary received the Britain in Bloom North West award for the “School Category” and “Involving Children and Young People” category.
