Year 3 and 4 Boys FA Cup Competition

St Luke’s Year 5/6 mixed basketball team managed to finish 3rd. 3 teams were level on points after the competition, including St. Luke’s, who finished 3rd on baskets scored. Well done everyone that competed.
This half term Juniper are learning to play Hockey. This afternoon we have learnt how to hold the hockey stick correctly and dribble with the ball. We had a go at dribbling and changing direction, as well as sending and returning the ball to each others hockey stick.
This afternoon during our PE lesson we learnt some new yoga poses and learnt how to control our breathing if we are feeling stressed or worried. The children worked hard to focus on their balance and their technique. A very relaxing lesson!

The anti-bullying council had a lovely opportunity today to work with RAFC Community. This is a charity that works with schools to promote positive messages. This week, the focus was anti-bullying. Bluebells have been enjoying using the apparatus in our P.E lesson this week. We have been learning about the importance of doing a warm up, a cool down and keeping safe whilst using the apparatus. We all had lots of fun and enjoyed doing different exercises!
During our first forest school session, we were able to take part in many activities, including making bird feeders, freeze frames of autumn pictures and finished with trust games. It was very muddy but we had lots of fun!
