Our unit in English this half term is factual guided tours. The first tour we are going to write about is water around the world. For one of our experience days we learnt about the water cycle and created our own mini water cycles.
Year 6 explored the language used within the Dreadful Menace poem, looking at clarifying the meaning of the language used as well as looking for synonyms to create a bank of vocabulary to use within our writing.
Last year our school council set up a link with a local carehome. This week, our new school council re-established their link by visiting the residents with treats and games. The children showed such kindness, respect and maturity. We are very proud of them 😊
At the start of this half-term, the school council were looking through the suggestions pupils had posted in the council’s suggestion box, and found one that asked if we could have somewhere sheltered outdoors so Forest School sessions could still take place even in really awful weather.
