Yesterday Rowan and Sycamore made some lovely Christingles. KS2 took part in an online virtual escape room, where they were challenged to collaborate, problem-solve, and think creatively to progress through each stage. Working together to overcome a series of themed challenges, the groups used their “wizardry” skills to successfully complete the escape room experience.
This week in RE, Year 6 revisited the Nativity story. The children compared several different accounts, identified key differences, and explored how these contrasting versions contribute to a deeper understanding of the story. Year 6 were able to work with Breaking Barriers once again, this time watching the monologue “Blind Side” as well as the video “Level the Playing Field” which featured a number of St Luke’s pupils. The video and workshop focused on the issue of VAWG (Violence Against Women and Girls). Read more…
