This week Year 5 Pine had the task of designing installation art work to convey a message. As a class we decided that we wanted to focus on fast fashion and it’s environmental impact. We came up with the idea of designing clothes made from recycled materials as a way to convey our message that its is better for our planet to reuse and recycle . We looked at the role and skills of a fashion designer before beginning our task. The children have designed and annotated their ideas and attached samples of materials they want to use, including cardboard, crisp packets and scraps of fabric. Next week we will attempt to bring our designs to life.
