This week we have been learning all about France, we started by listening to the story ‘A walk in Paris’ which showed us some famous Paris landmarks – The children have had some fantastic recall when telling us what they might see if they visited Paris, they could become tour guides!
We have answered the register each morning saying Bonjour and learnt other French words through songs and stories, we loved the French fruits song.
In continuous provision, we have made some of the French landmarks we have spoken about, such as the Eiffel Tower and the pyramid outside the Louvre and we have become artists and drawn our own versions of the Mona Lisa painting.
We have also looked at different foods that might be eaten in France – some that we have tasted before, such as, baguettes and croissants – some we weren’t so sure we would like to try… snails!!
What a busy week, well done Reception, it has been lovely to see everyone so engaged in their learning!
