This half term Year 5 will be learning about cooking and nutrition. In last week’s lesson we learnt all about the farm to fork process and how meat products, specifically beef, are produced. In today’s lesson the children had to adapt a recipe. We started by taste testing and comparing different bolognese sauces. Then, we researched the different ingredients you might find in a spaghetti bolognese. We looked at alternative, unusual and vegetarian recipes before we adapted a tradition recipe to include items that we would like.
