This morning, Year 6 had a visitor, Reverend Kirsty who came in to task about Ash Wednesday. The children took part in lots of discussions where they had to decide how sorry they would be for a particular incident. Ash Wednesday is all about how Christians confess their sins and profess their devotion to God – it is also the start of Lent. During our assembly, Reverend Kirsty placed the ashes from last years Palm Sunday church service on the children foreheads in the shape of a cross.
The children were really engaged and enjoyed taking part in this assembly. Well done to both year 6 classes.
