This afternoon, Hawthorn have worked so hard to create their slingshot cars focusing on the cars body work! they created two side panels and the over head panel and then attached them together to create their car! Super work.
We had lots of fun collecting ideas and patterns from the Ancient Greek pottery we have researched. We put these ideas onto a mood board in our art books, thinking about colour patterns and mythical creatures. They look really effective!
The children always enjoy our ukulele sessions! They have been learning simple chords to SpongeBob SquarePants theme tune, three little birds by Bob Marley and Get Back by the Beetles.
We loved preparing our planter for the vegetable plugs. We planted carrots, beetroot, leeks and sprouts!
The team did so well at Netball last night. We are extremely proud of how hard they worked. Well done, girls!
We began our Geography lesson looking at different maps and why we use them. We then looked at different symbols on maps and what a key is used for. Next we explored Kayden’s garden then when we returned to class we made a Birds Eye view of the garden. Afterwards we created our own key and completed some sentences about different features in the garden using directional language.

This afternoon, Year 4 Maple visited Heywood library. We enjoyed looking through the selection of books and taking some time reading for pleasure. Every child chose a book to bring back to school that were able to stamp themselves. What a lovely afternoon we’ve had!
