As part of our D&T topic, Year 6 had to research, design and cook a healthy, budget-friendly three-course meal.

We chose bruschetta, with tomatoes and cheese, to start, chicken fajitas for the main course, and healthy fruit kebabs for dessert.

We looked at how to prepare the ingredients, including hygiene and how to prepare each ingredient, as well as how to ensure food is cooked to a safe temperature.

The children really enjoyed preparing and cooking the food, but enjoyed eating it even more!
