D.T- Making Baby Bear’s Chair

In D.T this half term we have been making a chair for baby bear. First we made 3 different shapes, a pyramid, cylinder and a cuboid to test their stability. We tested how high the board could go before the ball rolled off. Then, we made the shapes using card and masking tape and tested which shape was the most robust by putting books on top of it to test its strength. We used different sized shapes and different amounts of books. Next, we worked as a team to make a chair for baby bear using all of our knowledge we had learnt so far. We then tested our chairs using baby bear to see if they were strong enough to hold him. Lastly, we evaluated our learning and thought about what we could differently next time.
