Year 5 have been busy designing and creating their own stuffed toys and the results are fantastic! From initial ideas to finished products, pupils have shown creativity, care, and determination throughout the project.
A key skill they developed was the blanket stitch, which they used to join their fabric pieces together. The children began by designing their toys, thinking carefully about shape, materials, and appearance. They then brought their ideas to life through making, and are now ready to evaluate their work, reflecting on what went well and what they might improve next time.
Throughout the project, pupils built important Skills Builder skills such as creativity, planning and problem-solving. They should be very proud of their efforts and the wonderful toys they have created!
