We had another lovely day of forest school today in Reception… even though the afternoon session had to be moved inside because of the storms! ⛈⚡️
We are getting so good at staying safe and remembering our forest school rules: walking around the circle and not inside it, helping our friends and coming back to the circle when we hear our special wolf howl 🐺 🐺
Today, we used our senses to explore the forest and complete a scavenger hunt; we had to find something that felt smooth, something that we could see was yellow and something that smelled interesting, then we sat and listened carefully to see what we could hear in the forest and finished by tasting hot chocolate!
For our forest craft, we made forest friends from wood that we found around the forest, we did a brilliant job and Miss Horrocks was so impressed with everyone’s creation. At the end, we each said something we enjoyed about the session and thanked the forest and the trees for another lovely session 🌳🌲🌱
