In our R.E. lesson this week, Year 5 Juniper have been learning about forgiveness. We looked at some of Jesus’ parables (Jesus and the Sinful Woman and The Parable of the Unforgiving Servant) to see how Jesus showed forgiveness towards people and the lessons Jesus wished to teach to people. Jesus taught us that we all need forgiveness, but those of us who need it most may be the most grateful. We then worked through some team drama where we were acting out scenarios that required forgiveness. We highlighted why forgiveness was needed, whether it is always easy to give forgiveness, and why it is important. The children performed their role play in their groups for the rest of the class.
