This half term, we are reading the story ‘Little Red Riding Hood’ in English.
Last week, as part of our experience lessons, we went for a walk in forest school, pretended we were Little Red Riding Hood and used the FANTASTICS to collect vocabulary about what she might see, hear and feel when walking through the forest, we then used this vocabulary in our writing throughout the week.
We then had another experience day, where we found out all about wolves; we found out some facts and watched videos of wolves to see what they look and sound like in real life, we looked at pictures and thought about how wolves move, acted out and freeze framed how we thought they looked and then found lots of vocabulary and wrote all about wolves on big sheets of paper.
We are now very knowledgeable about wolves, they don’t seem as scary as in some of the fairy tales we have read!
