This week all classes took part in the NSPCC PANTS lesson.

During these discussions we teach our pupils the following important
safety skills without giving explicit information or telling scary stories. We use the ‘PANTS’ acrostic, which
is like a green cross code for staying safe from sexual abuse. PANTS stands for:
 Privates are private
 Always remember your body belongs to you
 No means no
 Talk about secrets that upset you
 Speak up, someone can help

If you would like further information or support in continuing similar conversations please visit the NSPCC website. Our new SCARF scheme for learning for life also has a parents section that will direct you to a number of websites that support the children’s learning in school and offer advice to parents about speaking to your child about a range of subjects. You can find this at www.coramlifeeducation.org.uk/family-scarf
