This afternoon Year 3 were discovering what early humans used to eat. As we have discussed as a class, there is no written evidence of the Stone Age so we thought about how we could possibly find out what somebody had eaten. Year 3 guessed correctly. We had to look at their poo!

We used lolly sticks to carefully excavate and take notes of what was found. This included seeds, nuts, corn, barley and fish skin and bones. We then discussed their diets further and found out why they are early humans are referred to as hunter-gatherers.
