In R.E this week discussed things that we can’t see but believe in. We blew up a balloon and blew some bubbles and asked if we cannot see air, how do we know it’s there? We then discussed how we exercise trust and faith in our everyday lives. We talked about our belief in God and how we believe in the existence of lots of things we cannot see. We then thought about what the idea of God means to us and wrote some sentences.
We then used metaphors to describe what God could be. The children came up with lots of great ideas for example…..
‘If God was an animal, he would be a lion because he is fierce and mighty’
‘If God was the weather, he would be the sunshine because he brings joy and lights up the world’
‘If God was a vehicle, he would be a huge truck because it can carry everything and go anywhere’
