In todays lesson, we looked at different Bibles focusing on the covers, gold edges and pictures in them. We discussed that there are many different kinds of Bibles. Then we explored that the Bible is a collection of writings by many different authors, divided into two parts- the Old Testament which teaches us about God and how he wants us to live our life and the New Testament which is about Jesus and his followers who tried to tell people about God and how he wanted people to live their lives.
We then focused on the story of the lost son (Luke 15:11-32) and retold the story sequenced through drama using freeze framed. We talked about how Christians believe that like the father in the story, God never gives up on people.
