Reception – Stickman

This week, Reception were reading Stickman – we love Julia Donaldson stories and are so good at remembering the jobs of Authors and Illustrators, and what a title and blurb are.

While reading stickman, we looked at the different seasons that we might see throughout the story and recognised signs of the seasons. At the beginning of the week, we went on a stick hunt to find our perfect Stickman stick, they were very wet from being out in the rain so we let them dry first! Than, during the week we made our own stickman, did some seasonsal cutting out and matching work, went outside and looked for signs of the season and thought about how our clothes might change through the seasons… all of this learning, while also doing lots of Nativity practise!! Well done Reception for working so hard 🙂
