This week in Science club we had lots of fun making lava lamps!
The children used scientific vocabulary to make predictions about what would we think would happen.
The children then conducted the experiment and used vegetable oil, water, food colouring and effervescent tablets to make their lava lamps. We discussed why the water and oil didn’t mix together and why the tablet caused the mixture to make bubbles!
This afternoon Year 2 took part in a fantastic Science show with the Scientist Adrian Bowden. We completed lots of different science experiments and looked at some Science vocabulary like: predict, classify, test and measure. Read more…
