Year 2 visit to the Mosque
Year 2 had a great morning visiting the Neeli Mosque in Rochdale. They learnt so much and were fantastic at sharing what we have been learning in our RE lessons too.

This half-term, Year 1 are learning about the Jewish faith. Today we went on a coach to visit a synagogue. A lady showed us around, and taught us lots about the building, artefacts, and how they worship God.
Pine have been learning all about the Easter story this week and Judas’ betrayal this week. They have created some beautiful artwork.
The children read about The Easter Story. We discussed which parts represented death and resurrection. We then acted out that part of the story, with roles being shared between their friends. We worked on team building skills, listening skills and speaking skills when practising and performing for their friends.
Today Year 5 were lucky enough to attended the Easter experience at St Luke’s Church. We took part in different activities that represented the Easter story. The children had a great time and all behaved brilliantly. Well done Year 5.

On Friday, all classes supported Kawasaki Disease Awareness Day by wearing red to school. Each class learnt information about what this disease is and why it is important to raise awareness.

On Friday 13th December, we officially opened our outdoor classroom. We have named it ‘The Rush Room’ in memory of our Governor; Councillor Peter Rush.
