During English lessons we have been looking at the story ‘ Osebo’s drum’. We have been acting out the story writing our own versions and we have even been to visit Osebo’s home!
First we learnt the meanings of beat, tempo , rhythm and rhyme. We then worked in groups and turned nursery rhymes into a raps thinking about the beat and using different tempos.
We worked in groups to create balloon drums. We then created instructions to help other people to make one.
We used the clues to help create a graph to show the information. It was tricky but we never gave up!
The children have created some fantastic drawings of bees and butterflies today! The drawings on the left of our page are before we learnt any new drawing skills and the ones on the right are our final pieces.
Today, children experimented with different objects to see if they floated. We found out that the objects that were filled with air floated on the water and the objects that were solid with no air in them sank to the bottom. See our boats below! Don’t forget to comment Read more

For our early morning work, children were challenged to find ‘oi’ and ‘oy’ words in their word searches today. We found it lots of fun and managed to find lots of words within the letters!
