This week, Year 2 began their History topic ‘The Great Fire Of London’. Our first lesson was all about fire safety. We began the lesson by talking about and spotting dangers around fire and thinking about where would and wouldn’t be a good place to start a camp fire. As we were doing this, the fire alarm went off and we all had to safely leave the building to our designated area and answer the register to check everyone was safe. We then discussed the role and duties of a fire marshal. We put our fire marshal thinking hats on and wrote down ways we could prevent some of the dangers we had thought about before heading up to Kayden’s garden to help us make decisions and draw a safe camp fire.
