This term in geography, Year 1 have been learning about the UK, capital cities and landmarks. Last week we learnt about London landmarks and enjoyed completing observational drawings of our favourite London landmarks and researching to find out more about them.
This week, we used directional language to move around a map of the London landmarks, first we practised the actions as a class then we worked in pairs to move our cars from one landmark to another, following the directions our partners gave us.
Adults – why not quiz us on UK capital cities and ask us about London landmarks? We have been really interested in these and they have been some fantastic talking points in the classroom.
