When Miss Lomax got into school this morning, she found something strange in the school grounds. Year 3 went to explore. We found a really large outline of what looked like a body but was much too big and oddly shaped. We questioned what it may be and how it may have got there. As we began to read our book for this half-term ‘The Iron Man’, we began to think this strange figure could have been him. We decided after we had done some writing on this book we would think like detectives and write our own stories about how this body outline ended up in StLukes playground. We also explored various metals to create our own word banks of adjectives, verbs and onomatopoeia for metal ready to begin this topic.
