Children in Year 1 Oaks have been working extra hard this week, solving tricky problems! They used cubes to help them split a whole number into 2 parts, using a special diagram to help them.

They also used a ‘ten frame’, which is a frame of 10 squares, to sort the shapes and find totals.

Please comment on how well we are doing in Year 1 Oaks and we will read them out to the children. They will be so pleased to know that people are amazed at how fantastic they are.
