Algebra in the workplace

As part of our algebra lesson on ‘finding the rule’, we looked at how we can create algebraic rules and formulae to solve real world problems.

We looked at how we can help create football tables, including writing rules and formulae, to total points, games played and goal difference. We wrote the rules and formulae for the tables then added them to an excel table to check the rules worked.

We have been exploring how algebra and algebraic thinking could help us in future careers.
