Birds Nests

In Year 1 we have been learning about animals and their homes. We then had to choose one of the homes that we would like to try and make ourselves – we chose a bird nest.

We went into our outdoor area and around the path to collect the materials that we thought would be most suitable.

Then we had to use those materials to construct a nest that a bird would be able to live in – we found it very tricky! We decided that birds are very clever animals because they build their nests by using their beaks and we struggled when using two hands!

These are the bird nests that we constructed.
